The bustling port city of Khal is located on the northern coast
of Qalia at the mouth of the Lia River. The city of Khal occupies
both banks of the Lia River that separates Eastern and Western
Qalia. Visitors sailing into the port are greeted by the massive
twin statues of Fasid and Harah towering over the port entrance.
Khal is an intercontinental hub for merchants and traders from every
region. Caravans, ships and travelers pass through the massive stone
walls of Khal each day porting goods, hawking wares and seeking
wealth. Caravans deliver supplies and wares to distant outposts deep
within the Qalian deserts of Qarath and Liath.
Khal is widely recognized as a hub for diplomacy, as well and
trade. Politician's and diplomats from around the world travel to
Khal to steer the courses of nations. It is widely accepted that
diplomacy takes place dimly lit taverns of Khal as often as it does
in the open forums.
